At The Edible Florist we create edible blooms through the art of buttercream. Each petal and design is intricately hand piped and presented in the style of a bouquet.

With all of creations they are completely customisable from the colours to the flowers that make up your bouquet. Each bouquet is lovingly prepared bespoke for you.

Based in Pettinain, 5 minutes from Lanark and around 12 minutes from Biggar. We offer a contactless COLLECTION ONLY SERVICE.

We are compliant with Natasha's law as each of our orders is bespoke we are not required to provide a full ingredients listing for every item sold. If you do require a full list, we are absolutely happy to provide this at the time of booking.

Terms & Conditions


As with any business, we have certain responsibilities and restrictions so all your orders are subject to our terms and conditions.


We reserve the right to refuse an order at any time.


  • By purchasing a cake/cupcake/bouquet from The Edible Florist it is assumed that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions in full.


  • All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your exact specifications of design and size of cake/cupcake/bouquet.


  • Orders that require modelled elements / bespoke or large orders require a deposit at the time of booking. You will be advised of this at the time of ordering if this applies to you. Your order is not finalised and your details will not enter my diary until I have received your deposit. If a deposit is not paid within 24 hours of enquiring you’re booking will be lost and you may need to re enquire for your space. Paying your deposit will secure the quoted price and date in my diary. Failure to do so evidently means no booking.


  • Allergen advice: All our cake/cupcake products contain Wheat (flour), Dairy (butter) & Eggs. We do not cater for any specific dietary requirements such as allergies/Gluten/Dairy/Vegan free and take no responsibility for any consequence of such. Please advise us of any allergy/ intolerances that may affect your order.


  • All orders are made fresh to order and available for COLLECTION ONLY we do not offer any type of delivery service.


  • In making an order you agree that you are making a reservation of the artist’s time for the manufacture of a bespoke products(s) as you have described in your order. As such, we will begin to act on your instructions immediately. Deposits are non refundable.


  • We are a small business and dates are reserved exclusively for you so we can dedicate our time to making your order. If you need to re-schedule your event to a new date for whatever reason and I am contacted more than seven days before the agreed collection date I will honour your deposit and move it to a new date. If we cannot accommodate that new date we will endeavour to suggest another date available. Your deposit can be transferred to your new date providing we have the availability to do so. Should you wish to cancel your order completely the deposit will be lost.


  • Once your order is placed adjustments and alterations may only be made at the discretion of The Edible Florist. We reserve the right to refuse any adjustments and alterations after an order is finalised. Should you need to amend your order, we require a minimum of one weeks notice. It is your responsibility to read and check the details you have given.


  • A 30 minute time slot will be arranged with you to collect your order. It is your responsibility to adhere to your chosen time slot and date. If you do not collect at your allocated time slot your order will be treated as a late cancellation and may be advertised for sale via social media. Any orders not collected within the agreed collection time may incur a late collection charge. A new collection time (and day) may be arranged at the discretion of The Edible Florist at my convenience.


  • Whilst the structure of the bouquets is relatively sound, the individual cupcakes and their decoration are quite delicate, please handle carefully! We provide full instruction on the care and handling of your cupcakes. Once collected we cannot be held responsible for any damage sustained once the order has left the premises.


  • All our buttercreams are made to order and contain no artificial additives or preservatives. Industry standard food colourings and flavourings may be used.


  • Your cupcakes are made fresh for the date of collection. They must be consumed 24 to 36 hours from collection if they are to be at their best. It is our right to assume consumption on date of collection. Our cakes are made entirely of natural ingredients, so they do not have the extended shelf life of most supermarket cakes, which contain additives and preservatives to ensure their prolonged life.


  • Your cakes need to be kept at room temperature in a cool dry room out of direct sunlight. DO NOT REFRIGERATE as this will dry them out and spoil the flavour and texture. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Due to the perishable nature of these products we do not recommend keeping longer than three days. There are no refunds available on any perishable item. The Edible Florist will not be held liable if items are not consumed during the recommended time frame or are stored in an incorrect manner. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure these conditions are adhered to.


  • Each bouquet is made by hand and while we can emulate previous designs I cannot guarantee 100% uniformity in colours from order to order due to each order being hand crafted. However I always endeavour to keep consistency and make every effort to provide the product requested. In turn you accept there will likely be variance in colours and design in your order from gallery social media pictures.


  • We reserve the right to photograph any orders we produce for reference and promotional purposes. Photos of your order may appear on Facebook and Instagram but are not limited to just these. The photos may be used in further publications/advertising etc.


  • We are registered and have been inspected by the food standard agency and as such are legally bound to abide by hygiene standards and regulations. Should we need to cancel your order due to sickness in order to comply with legislation, we will offer a full refund or a rescheduled date.


  • In the unlikely event you are unhappy with your order please inform me promptly so that I can rectify any issues. Refunds cannot be issued without return of the product.


  • In purchasing from The Edible Florist the buyer accepts and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions described above.

All of our products are made fresh to order using the finest ingredients. It is important to me that all of my products taste absolutely delicious as well as looking gorgeous too.

Each order is made completely bespoke and unique to each customer. This means that your exact bouquet may not even have been created before.

Our edible blooms are ideal for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Thank you gifts, Baby Showers, weddings.... there really isn't an occasion that cant be sweetened with some of our beautiful cupcakes.
